"The Social/Emotional Needs of our D/HH Children" |
| |
John Anderson John Anderson is a mainstream adjustment counselor for the Mainstream Center at Clarke School for the Deaf in Northampton, Mass. He earned his master's degree in counseling psychology from Anitoch New England Graduate School in Keen, N.H. and is a licensed mental health counselor. John grew up with a progressive hearing loss and now uses a cochlear implant. John understands the frustrations D/HH children face and he will help us, as parents, become aware of the challenges our children struggle with on daily basis. We will discuss the social/emotional needs of D/HH students and what we can do to help our children learn to take care of themselves in the mainstream environment. He is the author of the book, My Hearing Loss and Me: We Get Along Most of the Time. |
