We are asking for support for the 9th Annual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Camp (D/HH Camp). The D/HH Camp, which takes place over Memorial Day weekend, is a unique opportunity for families with D/HH children to come together and learn from professionals who work with deaf and hard of hearing students. Since its inception seven years ago, the D/HH Camp has continued to grow as more families with D/HH children have heard about this special camp.

While parents and adults attend informative seminars, the children are engaged in a variety of activities. Because we have both D/HH children and their hearing siblings to care for, we need many volunteers. The volunteers, many of whom are D/HH, provide supervision and act as role models for the children. The total cost to house and feed each volunteer is $125.

Your tax deductible donation will ensure the children have adequate supervision while their parents are educated in various aspects of raising a D/HH child. As an added benefit, your name will be included in the camp brochure that is distributed to many in the deaf and hard of hearing community and the website.

Please consider sponsoring one volunteer for this year’s D/HH Camp. Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated and will help us to continue to be able to offer this special camp.
